  1. How Is the REDMAGIC Golden Saga Different from the REDMAGIC 10 Pro?

 

The REDMAGIC 10 Pro was released earlier than the REDMAGIC 10 Pro Golden Saga and has most of the same features. The Golden Saga is part of the REDMAGIC Legend of Zhenjin Limited Collection and uses real gold, silver, and carbon fiber in its design to present a more luxurious feel without compromising on power. Unlike the 10 Pro, the Golden Saga has a unique gold vapor chamber and gold and silver air channels to amplify heat dissipation and provide superior cooling.

 

The limited-edition Golden Saga also features a precision-cut, laser-engraved, and color-coated sapphire glass rear cover, while the 10 Pro uses its regular glass rear cover along with its metal middle frame. Due to the gold plating, designs, and features of the Golden Saga, it naturally also weighs slightly more at 243g when compared to the 10 Pro’s weight of 229g. The 10 Pro also comes in a variety of different colors and has a wider range of storage and RAM capacities to choose from – whereas the Golden Saga only comes in gold with 24GB RAM and 1TB of storage.

  1. Does the REDMAGIC 10 Pro Have a Gallery App?

 

Another issue spoken about on Reddit is the existence of a gallery app on the REDMAGIC 10 Pro. The REDMAGIC 10 Pro comes pre-installed with Google Photos which is the device’s default gallery application. Depending on your location and device specifications, the app might not be pre-installed and will have to be downloaded from the Play Store. Users may also download any other type of gallery application that they might prefer instead - including Google Gallery or Fossify Gallery.

  1. How Long Does the Battery on the REDMAGIC 10 Pro Last?

 

One of the standout selling points of the REDMAGIC 10 Pro is its magnificent battery capacity. With a 7050mAh dual battery and an 80W GaN charger with up to 100W fast charging, the 10 Pro is an absolute powerhouse when it comes to battery life. The 10 Pro battery ensures up to 52 hours of power on standby and can easily handle up to 2 days of moderate use on a single charge.

 

In terms of battery life during grueling gaming sessions, the REDMAGIC 10 Pro provides up to 6 hours of continuous play with Genshin Impact. Marques Brownlee even named the REDMAGIC 10 Pro the winner in the Best Battery category of his 2024 Smartphone Awards. The 10 Pro also wiped out all its competitors in terms of battery life when put to the test. 

 

One Reddit user responded to a question about the REDMAGIC 10 Pro battery – stating directly that the phone’s battery life is “insane,” while assuring other users that the gaming phone charges “from 0 to 80% in roughly 20 minutes.”

In PCMag’s review, the 10 Pro was used to stream a 1080p video at full brightness and lasted an impressive 14 hours and 25 minutes. A full recharge took just 36 minutes with the phone in Turbo Charge mode while plugging it in for 15 minutes brought the battery up to 50%. Overall. The 10 Pro boasts a phenomenal battery that will last for a long time – however, battery lifespan is dependent on how much you use your device and what you do with it as well.

 

  1. When Do REDMAGIC Devices Receive Software Updates and Support?

 

REDMAGIC devices are provided with regular security and other updates every 1 to 2 months for 3 years. Each 10 Pro device will have at least 1 major Android OS update. The 3 years are counted from the product's launch year and the regular updates include bug fixes, security patches, optimizations to improve the user experience, and much more.

 

  1. What Is the Latest Update for the REDMAGIC 10 Pro?

 

The latest version of the REDMAGIC 10 Pro for Europe is the V10.0.8. For North America, Asia, and Other Regions, the latest version is the V10.0.13. These were last updated on the 23rd of January 2025 and include the latest Google security patch update and enhanced system stability and overall user experience - amongst other features.

Please note: 

  • These updates won't erase any data stored on your phone, but it's still recommended to back up your data before updating.

  • To finish the update, please make sure your phone battery level is above 30%.

  • Your phone can still be used while updating. 

  • When the update is finished, please restart your phone to finish the installation. It will take a few minutes at the boot-up screen.

  • If a third-party app doesn't work properly, you can temporarily uninstall the app or wait until the app developer fixes this issue.

 

  1. How Can I Look After My REDMAGIC Device?

 

Caring for your REDMAGIC device is integral to it performing optimally. Follow these simple steps to ensure that your phone is kept in the best condition:

  • Clean the phone and charger with a soft dry cloth. Do not use liquids such as alcohol, dilution agents, or benzene.

  • Do not use your phone with wet or dirty hands. 

  • Ensure that the socket you use to charge your phone is kept clean and has no dust inside.

  • Do not use sharp objects such as pens or needles on the keypad or screen.

  • Keep your phone away from extreme heat – such as ovens or radiators. 

  • Note that if your phone gets wet and the color of the label changes, the warranty will be void - even if the warranty period has not expired.
