Frosty Fortitude: Brace for the Golden Saga’s Carbon Fiber Cooling

In the age of innovation, you must be strategic with your designs to stay ahead of the competition. Modern technology and science itself have advanced enough for us to improve and reinforce products – making them better, more efficient, and more affordable. This is the process that maintains the spark for breakthrough technologies. At REDMAGIC, innovation and inspired science are constantly being used to elevate and expand pioneering devices. Today, the Golden Saga Limited Edition 10 Pro is tangible proof of the commitment.

In this blog article, we take a look at how the Golden Saga 10 Pro uses the optimal materials and scientific understanding to maintain thermal stability – providing both endurance and resilience. The REDMAGIC Golden Saga is already draped in precious metals that increase performance while providing a golden flair of luxury – now we look more directly at the use of carbon fiber in the gaming phone trailblazer. First, let’s get a better understanding of the science behind the use of carbon fiber.

Why Is Carbon Fiber Used for Cooling?

Carbon fiber is a polymer made of thin and strong crystalline filaments of carbon. The material can be thinner than a strand of human hair and gets its strength when twisted together like yarn. It is five-times stronger than steel and twice as stiff – however, the polymer is also impressively lightweight despite its strength. This property is what makes carbon fiber popular in many industries – including aerospace, automotive, military, manufacturing, and more.

More than just being strong, carbon fiber also has a variety of other properties which make it ideal for several applications in different sectors. For REDMAGIC in particular, the leading property of carbon fiber is its ability to tolerate excessive heat and its stable thermal conductivity.

Thermal conductivity is a measure with which heat flows through a material, and carbon fiber has excellent thermal conductivity. This means that carbon fiber can be used to strategically manage heat. Typically, carbon fiber might be found in the design of high-end luxury sports cars. This is due to the lightweight and resistant nature of the material – but also due to its thermal conductivity.

Carbon fiber is often placed over the hood or engine itself so the intense heat generated is transferred to the composite material - which then dissipates the heat to a cooler area. This keeps the engine operating at peak efficiency. For electronics – like the REDMAGIC Golden Saga – high thermal conductivity carbon fiber is often used to dissipate heat away from sensitive components. This protects the device from overheating and effortlessly extends usage time. For a gaming phone, this property is essential.

The Golden Saga: Combining Luxury and Science

The REDMAGIC Golden Saga is a symbol of luxury and excellence in the REDMAGIC gaming phone range. With all the advanced and intuitive features of the classic REDMAGIC 10 Pro, the Golden Saga takes things a step further in every sense – from performance to style. The Golden Saga uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite and features Qualcomm’s next-generation custom Qualcomm Oryon™ CPU. Being the most advanced chip to date, the Golden Saga is sure to push boundaries when it comes to powerful performance.

YouTuber, Mrwhosetheboss, also took to comparing exclusive smartphones on his channel to deem the best - and, to no one’s shock, the REDMAGIC Golden Saga landed itself in the highest S tier.

The reviewer then placed the Golden Saga up against a Samsung Galaxy s25 Ultra in a 20-minute stress test where it absolutely dominated - with peak performance and stability scores that were massively impressive.

He continued to state that with the specs and materials used in the Golden Saga, the phone presents luxury not for the sake of luxury, but “luxury that makes the phone look great while also actually making the experience better too.” However, with such a performance-intensive gaming, your phone needs to keep up with the heat generated by such a powerhouse device.

Fortunately, the Golden Saga comes equipped with gold-plated VC fins and a unique gold vapor chamber to enhance heat dissipation. The dazzling phone also uses gold and silver air channels for superior cooling through an 11-layer system. A liquid metal with a melting point of 150°C is also used to enhance heat transfer from the processor to the cooling system.

However, the Golden Saga goes further to ensure thermal stability by being the first device to use carbon fiber for cooling. Draped across the battery of your Golden Saga and with a thermal conductivity exceeding 600W/(m·K), carbon fiber effectively dissipates the heat from every gaming session.

The strong and resilient material remains visible on the back of the phone beneath a layer of scratch-resistant sapphire glass. This ultra-light and high-performance material elevates the cooling capacity and strength of the Golden Saga – allowing it to seamlessly perform like a supercar.

In his review of the Golden Saga, JerryRigEverything did an excellent job of dissecting the materials used to create what he calls “the most  premium decorated smartphone on the planet.” He first commented on the “rather exquisite” woven carbon fiber packaging that the gaming phone arrived in - noting that the material gave a premium look and feel to the box itself already. In the review itself, he uses a precious metals analyzer with X-ray fluorescence to identify individual elements within the Golden Saga phone - testing whether the design yields actual gold-plating or not.

Unsurprisingly, the REDMAGIC Golden Saga tests positive for using real sapphire on its rear glass cover and using real silver inside. He also notes that gold inside a gaming smartphone has a much larger role than just aesthetics - pointing out that gold-plated HDMI or charging cable contacts actually perform slightly better than their non-gold-plated counterparts since gold does not tarnish or have an oxide layer like copper or other metals.

Eventually, after reaching the Golden Saga’s vapour chamber, JerryRigsEverything was able to prove that it was indeed covered in a layer of 24-karat gold. He concluded the video by stating that it’s refreshing that even though the average person would never know if REDMAGIC was bluffing - since the vapor chamber isn't visible from the outside - “they went and did it right, just like they said they would.”

This proves REDMAGIC’s commitment to authenticity and transparency when it comes to providing premium quality products that boost efficiency and performance. The carbon fiber, gold, silver, and sapphire elements of the Golden Saga all work together to elevate the gaming phone to a superior level of craftsmanship meets functionality.

Engineered to Stay Cool

The carbon fiber element of the REDMAGIC Golden Saga Limited Edition is used to elevate and amplify cooling performance across a phone built to perform. This material is integral to the creation and resilience of the gaming supernova – which is why your Golden Saga collector’s card is also designed with the carbon fiber pattern along with several elements in the Golden Saga preorder box.

So, if you’re looking for a gaming phone that artfully combines golden luxury with scientific design and ingenuity – look no further than the REDMAGIC Golden Saga 10 Pro. Prioritize performance while still maintaining that chic limited-edition collector’s glow. Through carbon fiber cooling and gold-plated engineering, the Golden Saga is here to elevate your game without compromising on style.
